In my opinion, it's a healthy way to stimulate your mind. A passive person will never get what he wants, hence debates are necessary. An assertive person gets what he wants without offending anybody. An aggressive person tries to get what he wants regardless of offending other people. A debate occurs when 2 assertive people meet and argue. A conflict occurs when 2 aggressive people do the same.<BR/><BR/>Voicing your opinions is a form of debate. It's how most debates are based off on. A debate is essentially a well perceived arguement.
