Review: Clever Girl Goes Blog

Now to be perfectly honest and frank, it's an ironic fact that I don't normally read blogs. Why? Because just like mine, there are millions of teenagers out there who whine and moan about how sad they are even though their parents just bought them a camaro when they really wanted a mercedes. I guess that's just years of experience being on LiveJournal, MySpace, and the like, I had no idea that real, living adults, posted on the internet. No lie, I thought the internet population was made of of 98% of emos and lamers, and the other 2% was old people and their businesses. I mean only recently, did I learn that you could blog for money! The blogs that I did read by adults were either...errm... questionable, so it's safe to say my eyes bled and I skipped over them, or really, really, REALLY boring.

Clever Girl Goes Blog is just the opposite of that, I've read a few of her posts, and I think I can honestly say she is incredibly entertaining. More than that when she writes you can almost hear her words in person, like she's talking to you in the same room about all these events. I like reading stuff like that.

When I first stumbled upon this site through the Blogs of Note, which is weird because I never look at them usually..., I thought I'd come upon some Barbie Doll's site full of frilly priss and make-up fantasies and "OMGTHATGUYISSOHAWT!" Okay, so admittedly, there was a bit of that last part, but my friend's are like that so I'm used to it. I mean, the banner was adorable, I was tempted to ask if she drew it. But it didn't detract from the fact that it was all... pink, and I'm not a pink-hater, don't get me wrong.

But I've too many encounters with those who like pink usually turn out to be... people I don't get along with.

But I got past that and started reading, the first post I read being about kitties, which immediatly grasped my attention personally, because I own a cat. And continued reading, I enjoyed the wit and humor that she placed in her posts, and skillfully as well. It wasn't obnoxiously written as some people tend to do, and she was very literate in how she wrote. She didn't butcher the english language as I've also seen in every blog and she still remained sounding rather young in her post, I thought she was at least a couple years ahead of me and possibly still in college or just starting. But came to find that she's was apparently above the age of 23, married (more than once apparently?) and thinking about children.

I was surprised to find that there was an adult on the internet that could be mildly entertaining, much less incredibly entertaining.

While I probably won't recommend blogs on this too much, because I think it's odd to recommend someone's personal journal, I would at least read her's if your bored or looking for someone with a fairly interesting perspective on life.

Kudos to Tia~! ♥

It's funny how you consider her an adult, while you imply you're not, when you're already 18 and can legally vote.

I'm not an adult yet don't lie to meee...

I'm joking, point taken. :U I guess I don't feel like an adult quite yet, just having graduated and all it takes some adjusting.

And I still live with my parents. So that could be why as well, I don't know. I guess I don't consider myself an adult because most 18 year olds I know aren't exactly mature so... I guess I don't consider myself either...?

I need to point out that not all blogs written by teenagers are emo and lame.

Here is a very well written blog by a 20 year old girl that I frequent.
